Welcome, 5th Grade, to our Wikispace!

You will be learning how to make a webpage! How exciting is that?

April is National Poetry Month. In order to get ready for this, we're going to be researching and reporting on different poets for kids. Each of you will be assigned a poet (There MAY be some repeats in the class as a whole, but we're not going to repeat in each SECTION. What does that mean? We might have two people doing Dr. Seuss but they won't be in the lab at the same time.)

Here's how it's going to work:

Once you are assigned a poet, you will do a little bit of research about him or her.

The first page of your assignment will be information about the poet -- a "bio" page.

The next page will have samples of the poet's work-- a "works" page.

The last page will have a picture of your poet with his or her name as the heading, and then information about how you can contact that person (if she/he is still alive), their official website (if they have one-- most do!), and then any books that he/she has written or books that have their poems in them.
